Abbey Mulder, MOT, OTR
After completing her Bachelors of Science degree in Psychology from Grace University in Omaha, NE, Abbey became interested in Occupational Therapy through the impact therapy made in her son’s life. She pursued a Master of Occupational Therapy from Texas Woman’s University in Dallas.
While at TWU, Abbey had two internships at hand therapy clinics that directed her career towards specialization in upper extremity. She graduated with academic honors in 2013 is currently working towards completing the clinical requirements to achieve further subspecialty licensing as a Certified Hand Therapist (CHT).
Abbey has been working at a well-respected hand clinic in Plano where she was treating Dr. DiLiberti’s patients. Now she is pleased to be working directly with Dr. DiLiberti located within Texas Hand Center, facilitating communication and allowing him to closely monitor your treatment plan and progress. She will work with you to tailor a rehabilitation program that works towards your goals with an emphasis on your participation through a home exercise program.
Whether you are a candidate for non-surgical or surgical treatment of your injury, therapy services are made available as part of a continuum of care to achieve the best possible outcome for your injury. Abbey will work to establish an individualized therapy program based on your particular injury. Treatments will focus on education and “hands-on” treatment in a more personalized environment. We also place a strong emphasis on a home exercise program so you can continue your treatment between visits.
